Lorna + Evan

I’ve just had the incredible privilege of photographing the most enchanting wedding in St. Louis this past weekend, and I couldn’t wait to share all the delightful details with you. Let’s dive into the magical world of Lorna and Evan’s special day.

The stage was set at the stunning St. Francis Xavier College Church, where Lorna and Evan exchanged vows in a ceremony that could only be described as pure elegance. Lorna’s choice of attire left everyone in awe – a ballgown fit for a queen, complete with a train that seemed to stretch on forever. She walked down the aisle in a long sleeve lace overlay and a cathedral-length veil with a blusher that added an extra layer of anticipation to her entrance.

As if straight out of a classic film, Evan and his groomsmen donned sleek and sophisticated black tuxedos, perfectly complementing the bridesmaids’ full-length black dresses. The bridesmaids held bouquets of white roses and delicate baby’s breath, creating a beautiful contrast against their dark attire.

Mother Nature decided to throw in a twist with unexpected storms, but that didn’t dampen the spirits one bit. With a bit of quick thinking, we improvised some photo locations while waiting for the rain to subside. Thankfully, we managed to capture a few shots outdoors that perfectly captured the couple’s joy and love.

The reception was a grand affair held at the magnificent Stifel Theatre in the heart of downtown St. Louis. The intricate architecture both inside and outside the theatre was nothing short of breathtaking, providing a stunning backdrop for the celebrations. Reception tables were adorned with pastel floral centerpieces, elegant gold chargers, and an abundance of flickering candles, creating an atmosphere that was both romantic and mesmerizing.

After a sumptuous dinner, Lorna made a dazzling appearance in a sleek and simple dress – perfect for dancing the night away with her new husband. Their first dance as a married couple was nothing short of magical, and it marked the beginning of an evening filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

But the true star of the evening was undoubtedly the Fat Pocket Band, whose electrifying performance kept the dance floor alive and buzzing. From the first beat to the last note, guests couldn’t resist the pull of the music and found themselves dancing the night away with pure abandon.

As I reflect on Lorna and Evan’s incredible wedding day, I’m reminded once again of the timeless power of love and the magic that surrounds a couple on their special day. It was an honor to capture their journey from the cathedral aisle to the grand theatre dance floor, and I’m beyond grateful to have been a part of their story.
